April 11, 2015
2pm to 6pm
808 S Meridian St.
Indianapolis, IN 46225
Please join the INPPSA and NAPPS leadership for this very important first meeting.
You are cordially invited to attend the inaugural meeting of the Indiana Professional Process Servers Association (INPPSA) to be held Saturday, April 11th, 2015 at Shapiro’s Delicatessen; 808 S. Meridian, Indianapolis, Indiana 46225 beginning at 2 PM (est).
Please join John Perez and Larry Yellon , both Directors of the National Association of Professional Process Servers (NAPPS) along with your fellow Indiana Process Servers to set in motion a State Organization devoted solely to benefit process servers in the State of Indiana. With an aim of networking, education and increasing the professionalism among our ranks INPPSA can be the vehicle to aid in increasing the volume of business available to us all.
We will discuss how best to effect change to IC 33-37-5-15, Service of Process Fee that limits the fee Indiana Sheriffs are allowed to charge for the Service of Process to both instate ($13) and out-of-state ($60) litigants. The Georgia Association of Professional Process Servers (GAPPS) produced a study (attached) that put the cost of serving process for Georgia Sheriffs at $168 per service. A fundamental change to the Indiana Code will result in an abundance of process available to all of us, as Private Process Servers simply do it better!
